I find it extremely funny that the Dallas Cowboy’s new stadium is being built by a constructin firm from Oklahoma. I hope the crew that works on the bathroom are not Sooner fan’s and still pissed about the last game between Texas and Oklahoma. I have visions of the toilets flushing up instead of down.
Activist’s in Bisbee, Arizona lost their land to two immigrants. The 70-acre ranch once owned by Casey Nethercott was signed over to Fatima del Socorro Leiva Medina and Edwin Alfredo Mancia Gonzales. Mr. Nethercott is serving a 5 year prison term in Texas stemming from a 2003 incident on a ranch in Hebbronvile, Texas, where he confronted Ms Leiva and Mr. Mancia and was accused of pistol-whipping them. he was acquitted of assault but convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Mr. Nettercott was a memeber of the group Ranch Rescue, which works to protect private property along the southern U.S. border.
The Southern Poverty Law Center brought a suit alleging abuse against Mr. Nethercott on behalf of the two immigrants. Mr. Nethercott did not respond, and a Texas judge ordered him to pay $500,000.
Aso named in the suit were Jack Foote, the founder of Ranch Rescue, and the owners of the ranch in Hebbronville, Joe and Betty Sutton. The Suttons settled for $100,000. Mr. Foote also didn’t offer a defense and was ordered to pay $500,000.
Ms.Leiva and Mr. Mancia were illegal immigrants from El Salvador. They received temporary legal status in the U. S. as crime victims and are seeking visas to stay longer.
They don’t plan to hold on to the ranch, said Kelley Bruner, an attorney for the Southern Poverty Law Center. Instead the property will be sold, with the proceeds going to the immigrants.
Fuck me till I call a lawyer and sue your ass…

Finally some good news..In the great city of Grapevine, home of drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs, and now the first Texas Frighmare Weekend. It is two days of slasher cinema and homicidal hero worship.(11a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Grapevine Convention Center. Headlining Texas Frighmare is a 20th anniversary reunion of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2. Meet, in relative safety, Bill”choptop” Moseley, Bill “Leatherface” Johnson, grue-slinger Tom Savini, screamin’ Caoline Williams and others.
Well, hell, what normal red blooded, blood loving psycho doesn’t want to see that???
Remember all the dusk to dawn drive-in movie shows?…Go to the drive-in for $3 a car load (or less) and you took your own popped corn, tupperwear container of kool-aid, bags of chips, candy and a roll of paper towels. I used to make taco’s, or what our family called sumgolians(?) which was a version of sloppy joes and maybe a six-pack of beer with a bottle opener…Watched movies till dawn…usually on a friday night..I always fell asleep…I wish there were drive-ins like that again. I know there are some around, there is one in Gatesville, but that is 50 miles a way..If I had money I would build a drive in..even if I was the only one there..ahhh, the good ole days…

When I first heard about the Ranch case I could not belive it. I am not a lawyer but this and other cases that have recently made the news are very disturbing. Hope your house is not in a good area, as some developer might decide they want it…….
